Year of foundation of the BOLSA DE ARTE for manager José Carvalho, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Innovating to the time, it presented a Team of Consultants formed by personalities and collectors as Antônio Salgado, Gilberto Chateaubriand, Hélio Beltrão, Jean Boghici, João Condé and José Thomaz Nabuco, among others. In the team, José Coimbra. Its main objective stays later unaffected three decades: to activate the market of Brazilian Art through periodical auctions

Accomplishment of Inaugural Auction at Copacabana Palace;

1973
     José Coimbra answers in the administrative direction and Evandro Carneiro in the artistic orientation of the auctions. On that same year sculptor Bruno Giorgi proposes the exhibition accomplishment dedicated to José Carvalho's memory, face to the precocious disappearance of the founder of the auctions;

1976
     Ramon Conde and Pedro Carvalho start to do part of the management;

  
       Jones Bergamin

1985
      Jones Bergamin assumes the direction of the Bolsa de Arte and Evandro Carneiro as auctioneer;

1991
     From that date, the evaluation team is composed by Jones Bergamin, José Coimbra and Walter Rezende
.

Walter Rezende

     The most expressive part of the Brazilian art was moved by the Bolsa de Arte through sales in auctions on those last thirty years.
The professional rigidity with that the Bolsa de Arte drives the selection of works for intermediation it turned its auctions a national reference, being considered the thermometer of the Brazilian art market.
